Edinburgh Infectious Diseases - 11th Annual Symposium, June 23 We are very pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Edinburgh Infectious Diseases Symposium will be held on Thursday 23 June 2022. We are delighted that this will be our first in-person symposium for 2 years, and are looking forward to welcoming you to the Roslin Institute for the event. Register now for a lightning talk One of the highlights of past symposia have been the lightning talks by early career researchers. Once again this year we would like to invite PhD students and postdocs to present their work in just 3 minutes using 1 slide. Please submit your title and brief abstract (max 100 words) using the form linked below: 11th Annual Symposium Lightning Talk registration The closing date to register for a talk is Friday 6 May 2022. We will inform those selected by Friday 27 May. Ker Memorial Lecture and Prize We are particularly pleased that the Ker Memorial Lecture will be given by Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert from the University of Oxford, who will speak about her pioneering work to develop the Oxford AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. And as is customary we will also hear from the winner of the Ker Memorial Prize, awarded for the best PhD thesis in infectious diseases submitted in 2021. Poster sessions We very much encourage all students and postdocs to present their work in the poster sessions. Prizes will be awarded for the best presentations in each category. Please indicate when registering if you would like to bring a poster.
