Avian Research Symposium 2023, Mar 7 - 9

The symposium aims to raise awareness of exciting research investigating avian biology and using avian model systems. We intend to highlight novel technologies and approaches in avian research, promote interdisciplinary collaboration and encourage researchers unfamiliar with the opportunities provided by using the chick embryo model to join the meeting to learn more.

We warmly invite students, researchers, and support staff who work with avian species to present on a broad range of topics. The programme will be a mix of short and long-style presentations. We expect topics to include, developmental biology, behaviour and physiology, genomics, avian welfare and husbandry through to infection and immunity.

The Avian Research Symposium 2023 will be an online event, held on three consecutive afternoons, on March 7th, 8th, and 9th 2023. We hope that you will attend as much of the symposium as possible and join in discussions with our speakers. We will also arrange "Meet the Speaker" networking events, that you can attend if you have registered for the meeting.

Students, researchers, and support staff who work with avian species are warmly invited to give either a poster-style flash talk (3 min) or a long format talk (15 -30 min) about their work.

While there is a focus on poultry species at The Roslin Institute and the National Avian Research Facility, the event is open to researchers who work with any avian species.

Please note speakers must also register to attend.

Please register for each day you would like to attend.

The closing date for speakers to submit an abstract is Friday 9th December 2022.
